About this role

We are advertising for dog trainers in Birmingham, and this is not a walking or sitting job. It is commission-based self-employment with no wage. If you already train dogs and want owners to be able to book you directly, read on.

WoofWalk is a UK booking app for dog owners, and does not employ you. Training appears in the app as a service of its own. Owners choose a trainer, book a session and pay in the app, and the money is paid out to your bank. You set your prices and hours. Bookings and income are not guaranteed. We have two places.

Sessions booked through WoofWalk are one-to-one only. Group classes, courses and online sessions cannot be booked yet, so tell us honestly if that is how most of your work runs.

You can make use of the training report, written after a session, to set homework that the owner sees in the app. Your qualifications can sit on your profile, and you can upload certificates for WoofWalk to check. State your methods plainly.

A trainer is not a behaviourist. Serious aggression belongs with a qualified behaviourist or a vet, so say what you can take on and pass on the rest.

Search is not filtered by area, so a request may arrive from Solihull or Erdington when you only work in Edgbaston. Check the address and decline what you cannot reach.

Nothing to pay to join. No commission for 14 days, then 15% of each booking, and 10% for life once five of your own clients have joined through you. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance. Over 18. Apply on Find a Job with your experience or qualifications and the areas you cover, and we will send the set-up guide.
