About this role

We are recruiting dog trainers in Nottingham. This is not the dog-walking job; it is self-employed work on a commission basis, with no wage, for people who already have training experience. We have two places.

WoofWalk is a UK booking app for dog owners, not your employer. Training is a separate service in the app. An owner finds you, books a session and pays through the app, and the money is paid out to your bank. Your hours and prices are your choice. No bookings or income are promised.

Sessions are one-to-one only. Group classes, courses and online sessions cannot be booked through WoofWalk yet. A trainer who meets owners at home in West Bridgford, or on a field near Beeston, will be fine; a trainer who only runs classes will find little here.

After each session you can write a training report with homework that the owner sees in the app. You can put your qualifications on your profile and upload certificates for WoofWalk to check. Tell owners what methods you use.

Be clear about limits. Serious aggression needs a qualified behaviourist or a vet, so refer those cases on.

As the app does not filter search results by area, you may get a request from Arnold or Wollaton that is further than you want to travel. Check the address and decline it.

Joining is free. The first 14 days carry no commission, then it is 15% of each booking, falling to 10% for life when five of your own clients have joined through you. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance. Over 18. Apply on Find a Job with your experience or qualifications and the areas you cover, and we will send the set-up guide.
