About this role
Derby owners can book dog training through WoofWalk and we need two trainers to take the sessions. This is self-employed work paid on commission with no wage, and it is separate from the dog-walking advert that Derby applicants may already have seen.
WoofWalk is a UK booking app for dog owners and not an employer. An owner picks a trainer in the app, books and pays there, and what you earn is paid out to your bank. You set the prices and choose your days. We guarantee no bookings and no income.
The service is for one-to-one sessions only. Group classes, courses and online sessions cannot be booked through WoofWalk yet, so you would use it alongside any class you run yourself.
After each visit you can write a training report with homework, which the owner sees in the app. You can add qualifications to your profile and upload certificates for WoofWalk to check. Owners ought to know your methods before booking, so describe them.
Know where your skills end. Serious aggression calls for a qualified behaviourist or a vet, and you should refer those cases rather than take them.
The search does not narrow by area yet, so a request could come from Spondon or Chaddesden when you stay around Darley Abbey. Check the address and decline what you cannot reach.
Nothing to pay to join. There is no commission for the first 14 days, then 15% of each booking, and 10% for life once five of your own clients have joined through you. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance. Over 18. Apply on Find a Job with your experience or qualifications and the areas you cover, and we will send the set-up guide.
