The Role
Are you passionate about creating safe, compliant and high-performing workplaces?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Workplace Compliance Officer to join our Highways
Service and play a key role in supporting the safety, wellbeing and development of our operational workforce.
In this varied role, you will lead on workforce compliance activities, helping to ensure training, competencies, health and safety requirements and compliance records are effectively managed across the service. You will work closely with managers and frontline teams to develop safe systems of work, monitor compliance standards, support audits and investigations, and promote a positive health and safety culture.
We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with experience in compliance, health and safety, workforce development or a related field. You will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to build positive working relationships across a diverse operational workforce.
In return, we offer a competitive salary, generous annual leave entitlement, flexible working opportunities, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme, and excellent training and development opportunities. Most importantly, you'll be helping to ensure our people work safely and effectively whilst supporting the delivery of essential services to our communities.
