Afternoon Production Operative

Job Description

We’re currently recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of an established manufacturing business based in Old Dalby, Melton Mowbray. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, friendly production environment offering full-time hours, an immediate start and the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidates.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 14:00-22:00.

Own transport essential due to location.

The Role

As a Production Operative, you’ll be working as part of a hands-on production team, helping to ensure products are manufactured, finished and prepared to the required standard.

Your duties may include

• Operating production equipment and machinery.
• Assisting with various production and finishing processes.
• Preparing materials and products for the next stage of production.
• Checking finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Packing and preparing completed orders.
• Following production instructions and company procedures.
• Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe.
• Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily production requirements.
• Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for candidates with previous production experience as well as those looking to develop their skills within a manufacturing environment.

You’ll need to be

• Reliable and punctual.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Practical and hands-on.
• Able to follow instructions accurately.
• Quality focused with good attention to detail.
• Physically fit for a role involving periods of standing and repetitive tasks.
• A good team player with a positive attitude.
• Able to get to the site independently – own transport is essential.
