This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop their legal knowledge, gain hands-on experience across a varied caseload and learn directly from experienced family law practitioners.
The firm advises on a broad range of family law matters, including divorce and financial disputes, children law and domestic abuse cases. For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to progress to a training contract, subject to performance, suitability and the firm's requirements.
Whether you already have experience in a legal environment or are looking to take your first step into family law, this role offers an opportunity to demonstrate your potential and build a strong foundation for your future career.
The Role
Working alongside experienced solicitors, you will assist with a varied caseload and support the delivery of high-quality, client-focused legal services.
Your responsibilities will include
•
Assisting with divorce, separation and financial remedy proceedings
•
Supporting private and public children law cases
•
Assisting with domestic abuse matters and emergency injunction applications
•
Supporting cohabitation disputes, TOLATA claims and Schedule 1 Children Act applications

•
Preparing court bundles and organising relevant case documentation
•
Liaising professionally with clients, courts, counsel and other legal professionals
•
Maintaining accurate case files and updating case management systems
•
Gaining exposure to Legal Aid procedures, eligibility requirements and applications, where applicable
•
Supporting advocacy preparation and attending hearings where appropriate
You will receive appropriate supervision and guidance, with responsibilities developing in line with your experience, capabilities and professional development.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in family law, a proactive attitude and the commitment to develop into a capable legal professional.
To be considered, you should have

•
Paralegal or legal assistant work
•
Family law or other client-focused legal casework
•
