You’ll work in a professional corporate environment, supporting a community of around 250 members. From delivering inductions and fitness programmes to teaching classes and maintaining the gym, you’ll help create a welcoming space where people can make the most of their wellbeing.

If you’re passionate about fitness, enjoy working with people and want to be part of a friendly team where you can have a laugh while delivering a great service, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll do

  • Welcome members and provide excellent customer service, helping create a friendly and inclusive gym environment.
  • Deliver gym inductions and ensure members are appropriately screened before using the facilities.
  • Create, review and update individual fitness programmes to help members work towards their goals.
  • Deliver fitness classes, including morning, lunchtime and evening sessions, based on member requirements and the class timetable.
  • Support members with their training and explore opportunities to deliver personal training.
  • Keep gym equipment, the studio and associated facilities clean, safe and well maintained.
  • Carry out regular equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, risk assessments and COSHH requirements to help keep members and colleagues safe.
  • Promote gym activities and wellbeing services to encourage participation and engagement.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the club, including opening and closing duties, with opportunities for overtime when available.
  • Work closely with the Fitness & Wellbeing Manager and wider team to maintain high standards and continuously improve the service.

What you’ll bring

  • A recognised Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification and Level 3 Personal Training qualification.
  • A valid First Aid qualification, or the ability to complete the required training.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a genuine passion for health, fitness and wellbeing.
  • A confident, professional and approachable manner.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload and work independently.
  • Basic computer skills and confidence completing relevant records and administrative tasks.
  • An understanding of health and safety requirements within a fitness environment.
  • A positive, flexible and proactive attitude, with the ability to work as part of a team.

Yoga and Pilates qualifications would be an advantage.
