About this role

The post holder will participate in general Radiological duties, including on-calls, and have subspecialty sessions as required. These sessions include supporting relevant MDTs, ultrasound lists, and procedures. The job plan may be adapted by agreement with the possibility of part-time working. The post offered is an 11-session job plan based on 9.5 DCC, with an allocation of 1.5 SPA-related activities. The post holder would support the Radiology on-call service. Teleradiology service provides overnight CT cover from 8 pm to 9 am on weekdays and 5 pm to 9 am on weekends. This is a busy cross-sectional scanning department. We have two 128-slice CT scanners at Darent Valley Hospital and another one at QMS, Sidcup. The DVH department has a Philips 1.5T and 3T MRI on-site. North Kent Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) hosts a 128-slice CT and 1.5T MRI scanner. The successful applicant will have to work at any site if required. As part of the expansion of NHS radiology services and future modelling, there may be a requirement to work on different sites to meet service needs that are part of Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. For example, this may include innovations such as CDC.
