About this role
The city, the Witterings, Selsey on the coast, villages running up towards the
Downs
Chichester district is spread out, and owners with gardens and dogs need somebody to come to the house when they go on holiday. We want three self-employed pet sitters to be that person.
Sitters look after the dog in the owner's home, whether that means a visit a day, nights over a long weekend or a week or more. Follow their routine for meals and tablets, walk the dog, keep it company and send an update every evening.
We have no Chichester sitting figure, so there is no suggested price here. What a visit costs, and what a night costs, is for you to decide. Owners book and pay in the app, and WoofWalk pays the money out to your bank.
Working for yourself means exactly that. No wage comes from WoofWalk, which is a booking app and not an employer, and we do not promise bookings. You will need to organise tax, National Insurance and insurance of your own.
One thing to know about licences: housing dogs at your own address is home boarding. It needs a council licence before you start, and the app lists it separately. House sitting at the owner's place needs nothing of the kind.
You pay nothing to sign up, and nothing in commission for 14 days. After that, WoofWalk's cut is 15% of each booking. Five of your own clients joining through you lowers it to 10% for life, and anyone you bring in yourself pays 10% straight away.
Over 18 only.
