Assistant Pastor (Director of Evangelism)

The church aims to empower the community and promote the gospel of our Lord and personal Saviour Jesus Christ by creating value for the people through the teaching and preaching of the word of God. There is an opportunity with The Apostolic Church (LAWNA) Oldham Manchester for a Minister of Religion (Assistant Pastor) to be in charge of Evangelism. The church aims to connect with the West African ethnic minority group in the Leeds area. The church provides an atmosphere where these people can come together to worship and learn the principles of the Christian faith.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers sermons, talks and leads the congregation in worship.
• Interprets doctrines and instructs intending clergy members in religious

principles and practices

Provide counsel and welfare support to those in spiritual needs and comfort the bereaved and broken-hearted

• Provides and arranges for the provision of religious instruction to members of the congregation.
• Performs marriages, funerals, baptisms, and other special religious rites according to The Apostolic Church doctrines.
• Provides pastoral care to members of the congregation in their homes and in hospitals and counsels those in need of spiritual or moral guidance.
• Maintain or establish strong links with other denominations
• Be committed to the mission and values of The Apostolic Church
