Trust Grade Specialist Registrar in Rheumatology

The post involves responsibility for participation in the Rheumatology Service at the Kettering General Hospital.

This consists of

out-patient clinics, responsibility for timely review of Rheumatology in-patient referrals, and liaison with junior doctors to ensure the timely and safe delivery of biological therapies & other infusions in the day unit. The post-holder will be fully supervised by the Rheumatology Consultants. There is a weekly departmental meeting and weekly hospital Grand Rounds during academic term times. There are regular cohorts of medical students (from University of Leicester) within the department and the post-holder is expected to contribute to their teaching. There will be opportunities to conduct audits and take part in regional (e.g.; Midlands Rheumatology Society) meetings.
