Specialist in Plastic Surgery (Skin)

The role is that of a plastic surgeon conducting dermatology skin procedures. Undertake outpatient dermatology skin procedures. Partake in the skin MDT as a core member. Undertake 1 session per month skin surgery in theatres. Provide support to the dermatology service and medical students by actively contributing to training and continuity of service To have excellent team-working skills with the abilities and professional attitude to work well in a multi-professional team. The post holder will also contribute to service development. This may involve contributing to Ockenden recommendations, QIPs, audit projects, guideline updates or teaching and training. To deliver clinical and quality targets agreed both nationally and locally with clinical teams and commissioners. Including supporting the shift of elective activity out of a theatre environment and into an outpatient setting inline with GIRFT.
