Business Development Executive (Entry Level)

Root HR Limited is a growing UK-based AI technology startup developing intelligent solutions for HR, payroll, recruitment, workforce management and business compliance, through its AI-powered platform roothr.ai (https://roothr.ai/). We are looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Business Development Executive to join our growing team in Basildon, Essex. This is more than a traditional business development role: you will work directly with the founders, contribute to business expansion, develop strategic partnerships and play an important role in the growth of an emerging AI technology company. Graduates and entry-level applicants are welcome and full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK market.
• Research potential customers, industries and partnership opportunities.
• Build relationships with business owners, decision-makers and strategic partners.
• Generate qualified business opportunities through outreach, networking, LinkedIn and other channels.
• Arrange and attend client meetings, product demonstrations and industry events.
• Develop partnerships with accountants, consultants, agencies and business service providers.
• Contribute to customer acquisition campaigns and business growth initiatives.
• Work closely with the founders to explore new markets and commercial opportunities.
• Maintain an organised sales pipeline and regularly report on business development activities.
• Support the company's long-term expansion and revenue growth objectives.

Contract terms

initial six-month fixed-term employment contract, including a three-month probationary period. Performance will be reviewed throughout the contract. Any extension or longer-term employment will depend on individual performance and business requirements.
