About this role
Please read this first
the work is self-employed and paid by commission only, with no wage from us. It is also not our dog-walking job. We want two skilled dog groomers around Greater Manchester, ideally one south of the city in Chorlton or Didsbury and one north in Prestwich or Salford.
WoofWalk is a booking app for dog owners in the UK. Grooming appears in the app as a service of its own, and owners search for it, choose a groomer, book a slot and pay through the app. Your earnings are paid to your bank account.
You decide how you work
a salon at home, a van that goes to the customer, or a visit to the owner's home. You set the price for each dog size and the time you need for a groom. Travelling groomers get a day-route planner and an HMRC-rate mileage log.
The app does not filter by area, so look at the address on each request and say no if it is too far, for example Altrincham or Stockport when you work in Salford. You can also turn down a groom you cannot do safely, such as a heavily matted coat. Home groomers should ask their council about planning and business rates.
Joining costs nothing. The first 14 days carry no commission, then 10% of each booking, dropping to 5% for life once you reach 20 bookings in one month. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance apply. Over 18. Apply on Find a Job telling us whether you groom from home, from a van or at owners' homes, and the areas you cover. We will send the set-up guide.
