About this role
Manchester is one of the three cities that send WoofWalk the most applicants, nearly all of them for walking. Pet sitting is the gap. We want three self-employed sitters, ideally one north of the city, one south and one in Salford or Trafford, so that owners in different boroughs have someone within reach.
The job
looking after a dog at the owner's home while they are away. Sometimes that is two visits a day to feed, let out and walk; sometimes it is staying overnight for a weekend or a week. Owners leave a routine and you follow it, and you send them a short update each day.
WoofWalk is a booking app, not an employer. You are self-employed, you set your own price per visit and per night, and you choose which bookings to take. Owners pay through the app and the money is paid out to you. No wage, no guaranteed income. Taking dogs into your own home instead is home boarding, which needs a licence from your council before you accept a booking; the app lists it as a separate service.
Money
nothing to pay to join. No commission for the first 14 days, then 15% per booking, and 10% for good once five of your own clients have joined through you. You handle your own tax, National Insurance and insurance.
Over 18. Weekend and school-holiday availability matters more than weekday hours. Apply on Find a Job saying which boroughs you can cover and whether overnights are possible.
