About this role

If you train dogs in Liverpool and would like owners to book you through an app, we have two places. The work is commission-based and self-employed, with no wage, and it is not the dog-walking job advertised elsewhere.

WoofWalk is a UK booking app for dog owners; we do not employ our trainers. Owners search for training, pick someone, book and pay in the app, and your money is paid out to your bank. You decide your own prices and your hours. We cannot say how many bookings you will get, or what you will earn.

At the moment every training booking is a single one-to-one session. Group classes, courses and online sessions cannot be booked through WoofWalk yet, and we would rather say so now than have you find out later.

Following a session you can write a training report with homework, which the owner sees in the app. Trainers can list qualifications on their profile and upload certificates for WoofWalk to check. Owners will want to know which methods you use, so say.

Serious aggression and similar problems need a qualified behaviourist or a vet. Say clearly where your help stops, and refer owners on.

Search is not filtered by area, so a request might come from Formby or Childwall when you are based in Aigburth. Read the address and decline what you cannot reach.

It costs nothing to join. No commission for 14 days, then 15% of each booking, dropping to 10% for life once five of your own clients have joined through you. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance. Over 18. Apply on Find a Job with your experience or qualifications and the areas you cover, and we will send the set-up guide.
