Class 1 Drivers

Are you a qualified HGV Class 1 Driver searching for steady weekday work with regular delivery routes? We’re currently looking for a dependable and professional driver to join an established operation in Grantham, offering ongoing work and consistent daytime hours.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys being out on the road, takes pride in delivering a reliable service and is confident managing their own workload throughout the day.

You’ll be responsible for carrying out deliveries and collections along designated routes, ensuring goods are transported securely and arrive at their destinations on time. You’ll need to plan your working day effectively, follow delivery schedules and maintain high standards of vehicle safety.

The role also involves regular customer contact, so a professional and approachable manner is essential. You’ll be expected to complete vehicle checks, communicate effectively with customers and ensure all work is carried out in line with transport regulations and company procedures.

You must hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 licence with Category C+E entitlement, a valid Driver CPC and a Digital Tachograph Card. Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience is essential.

You’ll also need a good knowledge of UK roads and driving regulations, strong communication skills and a professional attitude. The ability to work independently, manage your daily route and provide good customer service is important.

This is an ongoing temporary position, with continued work available for reliable and suitable candidates.

The position operates Monday to Friday, with early morning starts and regular daytime shifts. Additional hours may occasionally be required depending on the daily workload.

The role pays £16.00 per hour PAYE, with regular Monday-to-Friday work and consistent daytime shifts. You’ll also have the opportunity to accrue up to 28 days of annual leave pro rata.
