Environmental Health Enforcement Officer

What's involved with this role

Triumph Consultants are looking for an experienced Environmental Health Enforcement Officer to join their client's Food and Health & Safety Team, covering food safety, health and safety, and infectious disease control. This is a 36-hour-per-week role with flexible and remote working options. Contract is for 3 months in Wembley, HA9 0FJ.

Pay Rate

£23.81 per hour PAYE

Hours per week

36 Monday - Friday

Hybrid working available for this role

Key Requirements

Relevant professional qualification in Environmental Health or equivalent, such as a degree and NEBOSH qualification.

Registered with CIEH and experienced in food safety and health and safety enforcement.

Good knowledge of food safety and health and safety legislation.

Experience investigating food hygiene complaints, RIDDOR notifications and enforcement cases.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate complaints and carry out inspections to ensure legal standards are met.

Take enforcement action and provide advice to businesses and the public.

Gather evidence and prepare legal cases, including witness statements and court proceedings.

Manage a caseload of work, meeting deadlines and monitoring progress.

Maintain accurate records and ensure work meets council procedures and national guidance
