About this role
Edinburgh already has walkers listed on WoofWalk; what we are short of is sitters. We are looking for three self-employed pet sitters to look after dogs in the owner's own home while the owner travels: daily visits, overnight house sitting, or a full week's cover.
Public listings in the city put a home visit at about £14 and a night of home boarding at about £35. Those are other sitters' prices, not ours. You set your own rate per visit and per night in the app, and our start page shows what you would keep at any price.
The work
follow the owner's routine for feeding and medication, toilet breaks and walks, keep the dog company in the evening, and send the owner a short daily update. Overnights mean sleeping at the owner's address. Boarding a dog in your own home is a different service, listed separately in the app, and in Scotland it needs a licence from the council before you take a booking.
WoofWalk is a booking app, not an employer. No wage, no guaranteed bookings. Owners book and pay through the app and the money is paid out to you. Nothing to pay to join; no commission for the first 14 days, then 15% per booking, falling to 10% for life once five of your own clients have joined through you. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance.
Over 18. Apply on Find a Job with the parts of the city you can cover and your availability for overnight stays.
