About this role

A growing technology-led organisation is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join its Bristol-based product team.

This is a broad, relationship-led role working closely with colleagues across Product, Marketing, Sales and Customer Success.

You will learn how a range of technical products and services work, understand what matters to customers and translate that knowledge into clear positioning, value propositions, messaging, market insight, technical content and useful sales-enablement materials.

You do not need to arrive as the deepest technical expert. Training and support will be provided to help you develop detailed product and sector knowledge. What matters is that you are a strong communicator, interested in technology, able to learn quickly and comfortable building trusted working relationships across different teams and locations.

Your responsibilities will include

Building a strong understanding of the organisation’s products, services, customers and market.

Carrying out customer, competitor and market research.

Developing product positioning, value propositions, buyer personas, use cases and messaging.

Translating complex product and technical information into clear content for different audiences.

Producing pitch decks, one-pagers, FAQs, product documentation and other sales-enablement materials.

Supporting product launches through audience definition, messaging, proof points and competitor insight.

Monitoring market, regulatory and sector developments.

Working across Product, Marketing, Sales and Customer Success.

Identifying customer stories, case studies, campaign themes and market opportunities.

The salary is £40,000 to £50,000, depending on experience.

Candidates towards the lower end may come from a broader marketing background and be developing into product marketing. Candidates towards the top end are likely to offer stronger direct product-marketing experience, more relevant product or sector knowledge and the ability to contribute with less initial support.

Benefits include

33 days’ holiday including bank holidays.

Enhanced parental leave.

Discretionary company-wide bonus.

Perkbox benefits.

Three days’ volunteering or corporate social responsibility leave.

Paid business travel expenses.

Training and support to develop detailed product and sector knowledge.

This vacancy is being managed confidentially by Cole & Yates Recruitment. Full company and opportunity details will be explained during the initial recruitment conversation.
