About this role
York has no WoofWalk walker yet.
We want five
one each for the centre, Fulford and the south, Acomb and the west, Clifton and Rawcliffe, and Heworth and the east.
WoofWalk is a UK app for dog owners who want a local walker or sitter booked in a few taps.
You are self-employed
you set your prices and hours, you decide every booking, owners pay in the app and the money is paid out to you. We do not employ you, pay no wage, and do not guarantee bookings.
No York price research yet; nationally, public listings put an hour's walk at about £15. Your prices are yours to set.
The Knavesmire, Walmgate and Micklegate Strays, Rowntree Park, Hob Moor and Rawcliffe Country Park give York a lot of open ground, and the river paths join them up; a bike covers most of it.
Nothing to pay to join. No commission for the first 14 days, then 15% of each booking, and 10% for life after five clients have joined through you. Tax, National Insurance and insurance are your own to handle.
Students at either university with free mornings do well. Over 18.
Apply through Find a Job and say which part of York you cover.
