About us

We are a friendly, independent tea rooms passionate about serving delicious food, quality teas and coffees, and providing a warm welcome to every customer.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic part-time chef to join our small, supportive team. Our menu focuses on light lunches, freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, soups and a tempting selection of cakes.

We take pride in good food, fresh ingredients and a welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for someone who shares these values and enjoys being part of a close-knit team.

About the role

You will help prepare and serve our menu, ensuring that food is fresh, well presented and consistently prepared to a high standard. You will play an important role in keeping the kitchen organised and ensuring our customers enjoy a great experience.

Your responsibilities will include

• Preparing and cooking light lunches, sandwiches, salads and soups.
• Preparing, portioning and presenting food to a high standard.
• Assisting with the preparation and presentation of cakes and other menu items.
• Preparing ingredients and organising daily kitchen tasks.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised kitchen.
• Following food hygiene, food safety and allergen procedures.
• Monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients and helping reduce food waste.
• Assisting with deliveries and restocking kitchen supplies.
• Working closely with Front of House colleagues to ensure smooth service.
• Helping with kitchen opening and closing duties as required.
