About this role
The Quality Performance Analyst supports the Quality Teams, reporting through the Business Support Officer, by turning quality, safety, risk and experience data into accurate, timely and useful information. The post holder provides routine and ad hoc analysis, maintains reporting processes, supports the Group’s risk and incident system, and helps colleagues use information to improve services and patient safety.
Working within agreed procedures and priorities, the post holder manages their own workload, resolves standard data and system issues, and escalates complex, high-risk, novel or policy-sensitive matters to the appropriate senior lead. The role works across services and with internal/external system suppliers, commissioners and national reporting platforms as required.
We are looking for an organised and analytical individual to join the Quality and Safety Team, supporting the delivery of high quality information across quality, risk and patient safety. The postholder will analyse and interpret complex data, identify themes and trends, and produce accurate reports, dashboards, scorecards and presentations. The postholder will work closely with clinical and operational teams, commissioners and senior colleagues, providing quality intelligence and responding to information requests.
The role will also involving supporting risk and incident management systems, national patient safety reporting, audit activity and data quality processes, while identifying and resolving data issues to ensure accurate, reliable and traceable information. There will be a requirement to deliver training and guidance, contribute to improvement projects, develop internal and external relationships, share learning and good practice. The postholder will be confident working independently, using their own initiative to manage competing priorities and deadlines, while maintaining high standards of confidentiality, information governance and data quality.
