About this role
The Best Connection is currently recruiting for
HGV Class 1 (CE) Night Drivers for an ongoing position with our prominent client based in
Team Valley, Gateshead.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced
HGV Class 1 Night Driver looking for regular, ongoing work on a
4 on / 4 off shift pattern, with competitive pay rates and a genuine
temp-to-perm opportunity.
The Role
HGV Class 1 Night Driving
Safely and efficiently completing trunking and transport duties during night-time hours.
Trunking
Completing planned trunking work between sites, with no requirement for multi-drop deliveries.
Shunting
Moving HGV vehicles and trailers around the client's secure site when required.
Vehicle safety
Completing vehicle checks and ensuring loads are transported safely and securely.
Ongoing work
This is an ongoing temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Candidate Requirements
Licence
A valid UK
HGV Class 1 (Category CE) driving licence.
CPC
A valid Driver CPC qualification.
Digital Tachograph
A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
Experience
Previous
HGV Class 1, trunking or night driving experience is preferred.
Night driving
Candidates must be comfortable working regular night shifts and operating on a 4 on / 4 off rota.
Reliability
A strong attendance record and a flexible approach to shift work are essential.
Location
Applicants should be able to reliably commute to
Team Valley, Gateshead/Newcastle.
