Candidates must possess the necessary right to work authorisation to enable them to work for Chesterfield Borough Council. Regrettably, we are unable to provide sponsorship or assume sponsorship of an employment visa at this juncture.
We are looking to recruit a community safety enforcement officer to join our dedicated multi-agency team working in Chesterfield town centre, alongside Derbyshire Police and a range of partner organisations.
This is a highly visible and rewarding role focused on keeping our town centre safe, welcoming, and well-managed. As a community safety enforcement officer, you will:
conduct high visibility patrols across the town centre
engage positively with businesses, residents, and visitors
address anti-social behaviour and support vulnerable individuals
issue fixed penalties and support problem solving approaches
contribute to joint operations with police and partner agencies
support community safety initiatives and local intelligence gathering
This role operates on a shift pattern, which includes some evening and weekend work to ensure we have the right presence at the right times.
We are looking for someone who is
confident, approachable, and resilient
able to work independently and as part of a busy multi agency team
skilled at building positive relationships with partners and the public
professional, calm under pressure, and solutions focused
