Consultant Ophthalmologist

The post holder will join a highly regarded consultant team within the glaucoma service and will be responsible for the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred glaucoma care across multiple Moorfields sites. The role includes face-to-face clinics, virtual review clinics, theatre sessions and leadership of glaucoma diagnostic pathways. The successful candidate will support the continued expansion of consultant-led glaucoma services and play a key role in developing innovative models of care to improve access, efficiency and patient outcomes. Working closely with consultants, divisional management teams, specialist optometrists and multidisciplinary colleagues, the post holder will contribute to service planning, governance and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include clinical leadership, supervision of junior medical staff, participation in audit and appraisal processes, research and teaching activities, and active involvement in maintaining the high standards of care for which Moorfields is recognised internationally.
