Our client is a luxury nursing home where the dining experience is taken seriously - fresh, nutritious, beautifully presented meals are considered an essential part of resident wellbeing. This is a setting where culinary skill is genuinely valued and where a talented Sous Chef can take real pride in the food they create every day.

They are now looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join their kitchen team and help deliver a premium dining experience for their residents.

What Our Client Is Looking For

-

Proven experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen - essential

-

Experience working within a nursing home, care home, hospital, or similar setting is strongly preferred

-

A strong, working knowledge of nutrition, allergen management, and hydration needs

-

Ability to deliver consistently high standards in a premium, resident-focused environment

-

Food hygiene qualification (Level 2 minimum, Level 3 preferred)

A creative eye for presentation combined with a practical, organised approach to kitchen management

Key Responsibilities

-

Supporting the Head Chef in delivering a high-quality, premium dining experience for residents

-

Preparing and presenting fresh, nutritious meals that meet the individual dietary, allergy, and hydration needs of residents

Ensuring strict allergen management and compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations

-

Adapting menus and meals to accommodate a range of nutritional and texture-modified requirements

-

Maintaining excellent standards of kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and stock management

-

Stepping up in the Head Chef's absence to lead the kitchen team confidently
