The household comprises two adult principals and two young children, aged five and one, and the family is seeking a reliable Housekeeper/Cook to provide practical support during the children's after-school hours. This is a permanent, part-time, live-out position offering approximately 13–15 hours per week across 3 to 5 working days, depending on the successful candidate's availability. The working day starts at around 4:00pm, making this an excellent opportunity for someone seeking regular afternoon and early evening hours. A cleaner is employed by the family for the main cleaning, so the Housekeeper/Cook will focus on maintaining general tidiness and cleanliness, alongside preparing simple, fresh family meals. Working as a Housekeeper/Cook in this household involves providing practical afternoon support as the children return from school and nursery, keeping the home tidy and organised, and preparing the family's evening meal. Duties include light housekeeping such as hoovering, dusting, tidying after meals, laundry and ironing, changing bed linen, and keeping children's areas neat and presentable. Cooking is an important part of the position, with the successful candidate preparing simple family-style meals for the household and, where time allows, some batch cooking for days when they are not working.
