About this role

If you're the sort of person who takes pride in precision work-and enjoys building things that truly matter-this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to bespoke solutions.

Our client is hiring a Sheet Metal Fabricator / Fitter Technician to support prototype development, retrofit and series production within a highly regulated hangar/workshop environment.

What you'll be doing

* Manufacture detailed parts from sheet metal to aviation standards, working to engineering drawings and design data

* Assemble components manufactured by subcontractors, ensuring fit, finish and safe operation requirements are met

* Perform detailed inspections of subcontractor-manufactured parts to confirm compliance with engineering drawings

* Apply protective coatings to components as required

* Carry out repairs to in-service helicopters using sheet metal and composite techniques

* Work closely with the design team on prototype work

* Support day-to-day hangar activities, including aircraft handling (as needed)

* Maintain excellent workshop standards, including "clean as you go" housekeeping

* Work both as part of a team and independently depending on the work package

What you'll bring

* Strong manual hand skills and a methodical, detail-focused approach

* The ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings and associated data

* Calm, reliable working style-especially when priorities shift or pressure rises

* Good communication skills and a commitment to working safely with the correct PPE

* Interest in DIY and a genuine "can-do" attitude to getting the job done to standard

* Confidence working in a workshop/hangar setting, including in confined spaces

* Ability to use Google Office and MS products

Additional information

* You'll need to present examples of your work via a photographic record

* A flexible working attitude is important due to changing priorities across the department
