Senior Account Handler - Commercial & Schemes

Some Commercial Account Handler roles are built around processing work.

Others put you at the centre of the broking process.

This opportunity sits within a well-established commercial insurance team of around 25 people, supporting a broad portfolio of businesses and working closely alongside Account Executives and Client Directors on renewal strategy, insurer negotiations and client retention.

You'll be involved in far more than simply servicing policies. The role offers genuine exposure to the wider broking process, giving you the opportunity to work on varied and often complex commercial risks while building strong relationships with both clients and insurers.

The team is large enough to provide support and collaboration but structured in a way that allows individuals to make a real impact. It's an environment where experienced handlers are trusted, valued and encouraged to contribute.

The role you'll be responsible for

• Managing renewals, mid-term adjustments and day-to-day servicing
• Negotiating with insurers and obtaining competitive terms
• Supporting client meetings and renewal discussions
• Working alongside Account Executives and Client Directors to deliver client strategies
• Producing market submissions and renewal documentation
• Managing insurer and client relationships
• Ensuring a consistently high level of client service

What we're looking for

• Strong commercial insurance experience gained within a broking environment
• Good technical understanding across a broad range of commercial insurance products
• Experience handling larger and more complex commercial accounts
• Confidence dealing directly with insurers and clients
• Acturis experience would be beneficial
• A collaborative approach and genuine interest in delivering quality outcomes for clients
