HGV Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading transport solutions provider for an experienced HGV Technician to join its modern workshop in Goole, East Yorkshire. This HGV Technician position offers a salary of up to £42,000 per annum and a permanent Monday to Friday day shift, 08:00 to 17:30.

Duties

• In this HGV Technician role, you will inspect, service and repair HGV trailers.
• Diagnose and repair EBS system faults involving HALDEX, WABCO and KNORR BREMSE systems.
• Complete compliance documentation accurately and maintain high safety standards.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Attend relevant industry training courses to strengthen your technical expertise.
• The HGV Technician will work collaboratively within a skilled workshop team to deliver high-quality repairs.

Requirements

• The successful HGV Technician will have experience working with semi-trailers or heavy vehicles.
• Relevant industry qualifications, such as City & Guilds or NVQs.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent standards.
• IRTEC accreditation is desirable but not essential.
• Experience with EBS diagnostics, including Knorr Bremse, Haldex or WABCO, is advantageous.
• Welding certification and experience with BPW, SAF or JOST axles would be beneficial.
• Experience maintaining tail lifts or double-deck trailers is desirable.
