What you'll be doing
This is a great opportunity to sit at the centre of the Boots content pipeline in Nottingham, helping work move smoothly from request through to publication and review. As a Content Operations Assistant, you’ll support Editorial Operations, CMS Operations and Performance Operations with the coordination, reporting and administration that keep busy content workflows on track.
You’ll help make sure briefs are complete, handovers are clear, records are accurate and teams have the right information at the right time. It’s a role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to detail-heavy work, spotting gaps before they become delays, and supporting content that helps customers find trusted, useful information.
Key responsibilities- Log incoming content requests, maintain the demand register and keep workflow statuses and dependencies up to date.
- Validate briefs for completeness before Editorial Operations review, checking required assets, approvals and product nominations are attached.
- Prepare content for handover between Editorial Operations, CMS Operations, Performance Operations, agencies and internal teams.
- Produce weekly performance dashboards covering traffic, engagement and conversion metrics.
- Prepare monthly performance and commercial reporting packs for review.
- Maintain performance trackers, content inventories, optimisation registers, keyword registers, refresh registers and content health records.
- Coordinate product nominations with Buying teams, capturing requirements, approved product lists and audit trails of nomination decisions.
- Verify that fact-checking, evidence packs, approval certificates, reviewer notes and compliance documentation are complete and correctly recorded.
- Support SEO and metadata hygiene by applying pre-publish checklists, checking mandatory metadata fields, reviewing internal links and flagging duplicate content or keyword overlaps.
- Maintain the integrated content calendar, updating deadlines, statuses and dependencies to support planning meetings and governance reviews.
What you'll need to have (our must-haves)- Strong coordination and administration skills, with the ability to keep multiple workflows moving at once.
- Confidence working with trackers, registers, dashboards and reporting packs.
- A careful, detail-focused approach to accuracy, compliance records, audit trails and version control.
- Good communication skills, with the confidence to work across editorial, CMS, performance, buying, agency and internal teams.
- An organised mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep records accurate and up to date.
- Comfortable supporting operational processes, handovers and follow-ups in a busy content environment.
- A proactive approach to spotting missing information, unclear dependencies or documentation gaps before they create rework.
It would be great if you also have- Experience in content operations, editorial coordination, CMS support, digital merchandising, SEO administration or a similar digital content environment.
- Familiarity with CMS workflows, metadata, taxonomy, internal linking or content inventory management.
- Experience supporting content in a regulated, approval-led or audit-focused environment.
- An understanding of performance reporting across traffic, engagement, conversion or content health metrics.
- Experience coordinating product, commercial or buying inputs for digital content briefs.
Where your brilliance can take you
At Boots, you’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, care and progress, with the support to learn something new every day. This role gives you broad exposure across Editorial Operations, CMS Operations, Performance Operations and Buying, building a strong foundation in content governance, workflow coordination, reporting and digital content delivery.
For someone who enjoys detail, structure and cross-team working, it could be a brilliant step towards future opportunities in content operations, CMS operations, performance reporting, SEO coordination, governance or broader digital operations. You’ll be trusted to take ownership, supported by your team and given the space to grow your skills while helping create a smoother, more reliable content operation for Boots.
