Yard Operative in Heathrow Airport.

The rate of pay is

£14.58 per hour

This is a full-time role working

5 on 3 off

• 10am to 7pm (some flexibility to cover afternoon shifts aswell)

Your Time at Work

As a Yard

Operative your role will include

• Act as a banks person for HGV movements within the GSE area.
• Carry out stock counts for the top-up operation and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Prevent colleagues from using the bay lift and confidently challenge colleagues when required.
• Ensure a banks person is used when D1 and step vehicles are reversing.
• Conduct safety conversations with colleagues to address incorrect use of PPE.
• Conduct safety conversations to address non-compliance with safety requirements.
• Raise hazard reports, SLAM observations and near-miss reports for unsafe conditions, as appropriate.
• Work closely with the Stores team to support day-to-day operations.
• Carry out loading and offloading duties.
• Carry out vehicle cleaning duties.
• Keep containers and top-up vehicles tidy.
• Monitor parking during break times and drop-off and pick-up periods.
• Provide cover for the Loader role when required.
