We are an evolving organisation, moving our focus towards delivery against our Corporate Plan and building the people, systems and capability needed to turn our ambitions into results.
This makes it an exciting time to join us. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a developing organisation, shape how we work and help deliver meaningful outcomes for our region.
About the role
As Business Continuity Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of EMCCA’s business continuity, emergency planning and organisational resilience arrangements. You will provide expert advice and guidance across the organisation, ensuring robust plans, frameworks and processes are in place to enable EMCCA to respond effectively to disruptions, emergencies and emerging risks.
You will work closely with senior leaders, managers, partner organisations and emergency services to embed resilience into governance, risk management and service delivery, ensuring the organisation remains prepared, responsive and compliant with relevant legislation and best practice.
This is an excellent opportunity to shape a developing resilience function within a growing organisation. You will play a key role in strengthening organisational preparedness, influencing strategic decision-making and helping to protect critical services that support communities across the East Midlands.

• Conducting and supporting Business Impact Analyses to identify critical services and prioritise recovery activities.
• Developing and delivering training, exercises and simulations to improve organisational preparedness and resilience.
• Providing expert guidance on business continuity, emergency planning and counter-terrorism resilience matters.
• Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders, emergency services and partner organisations to strengthen response capabilities.
• Monitoring organisational resilience performance, reporting on preparedness and driving continuous improvement activities.
• Acting as a tactical adviser during incidents and emergencies and participating in emergency resilience and on-call arrangements.
