Charge Nurse/Ward Sister

Support the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the ward. Act as Nurse in Charge and deputise for the Ward Manager when required. Provide leadership, supervision, and support to nursing and support staff. Deliver and oversee high-quality, person-centred mental health care. Undertake assessments, care planning, risk management, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding procedures, and Trust policies.Co-ordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges. Manage incidents, complaints, and clinical risks appropriately. Support staff development through supervision, appraisal, and training. Contribute to audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, carers, and external agencies to promote recovery and positive patient outcomes
