About this role

Twice in the past fortnight a dog owner on this stretch of the north Wales coast asked a local group for a walker, and WoofWalk, a UK app where owners book and pay walkers near them, had nobody within twenty-five kilometres to offer. So we are opening Colwyn Bay to up to three self-employed walkers covering Rhos-on-Sea, Old Colwyn, Mochdre and Llandudno Junction, with Eirias Park, Pwllycrochan Woods, Bryn Euryn and the promenade for the walks.

Read this part carefully

there is no wage here and no guaranteed bookings. You would be trading on your own account, using the app to run a small walking round whose prices, hours and boundaries you decide. Payment comes from the owner, through the app, into your bank.

For a sense of the market, about 200 WoofWalk listings in October 2026 charged between £12 and £28 for an hour's solo walk, and £18 came up most often. We mention it only so you can place yourself.

Joining is free, and your first 14 days carry no commission. From day fifteen WoofWalk keeps 15% of each booking until five clients of your own have joined, when it drops to 10% and stays there. Anyone you introduce pays the 10% rate from their first booking. Tax, National Insurance and insurance remain your own responsibility.

Reply with the area, the days and the price you have in mind and a draft profile will come back for you to approve. Walkers with a client list already can bring it across and keep bookings, payments and GPS-tracked walks in one place.

Over 18, used to sea winds, and willing to meet each owner and dog before the first walk. Apply through Find a Job and tell us whether the Bay, Rhos or Old Colwyn is home ground.
