About this role
An owner in Wantage went looking for a dog walker in the last fortnight and WoofWalk could not point them to anyone within twenty-five kilometres. WoofWalk is a UK app where dog owners book and pay local walkers, and we are after up to three self-employed walkers for Wantage, Grove, Charlton and East Challow, with the Ridgeway, Letcombe Brook and the old canal path for walking.
Nobody is employed here and no wage is paid; there are no guaranteed bookings either. Think of it as your own small business living inside the app: you set the prices, choose the days and draw the patch. Owners book and pay you through the app and the money is sent on to your bank.
As a guide, some 200 WoofWalk listings in October 2026 asked between £12 and £28 for an hour's solo walk, most commonly £18. That is what other walkers charge, nothing more.
It costs nothing to join and there is no commission for the first 14 days. After that WoofWalk takes 15% of each booking, which becomes 10% permanently once five of your own clients have signed up. Clients you introduce pay 10% from their very first booking. Tax, National Insurance and insurance are for you to sort out.
Give us your area, your days and your price and we will prepare a draft profile for you to check. Already walking dogs in the Vale? Bring your clients and manage bookings, payments and GPS-tracked walks in one app.
Over 18, happy on the downs in any weather, and prepared to meet each owner and dog first. Apply through Find a Job and name the side of Wantage you cover.
