About this role
The Department conducts a business meeting on the afternoon of the first Friday of each month open to all permanent anaesthetic staff, preceded by an Educational Supervisors meeting. All senior doctors in substantive posts are members of the Medical Staff Committee which meets every two months. Anaesthetists run the ICU, obstetric anaesthetic and epidural service, chronic pain clinic and acute pain service. An ICU Outreach team operates 24/7. There is a Clinical Nurse Manager for ICU and Theatres Services (Ian Purcell) and Clinical Nurse Specialist for Acute Pain (Mel Muston).
