Food Technology Teacher

Rikama Education is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a school in Eltham, South East London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and committed teacher who can inspire students, develop their practical cooking skills and encourage a lifelong interest in food, nutrition and healthy living.

The Role

• Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across the relevant secondary school year groups.
• Teach practical cooking skills, food preparation, nutrition and food safety.
• Plan and deliver creative lessons that motivate students of different abilities.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety within the food technology department.
• Support students in developing their confidence, creativity and independent learning skills.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or has relevant teaching experience in Food Technology.
• Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for food education.
• Can manage a classroom effectively and build positive relationships with students.
• Is committed to supporting student progress and achievement.
• Is enthusiastic, reliable and able to make a positive contribution to the school community.
