About this role
About the team
The Student Recruitment team at SRUC plays a key role in attracting, engaging, and supporting prospective learners across Scotland and beyond. The team is responsible for promoting SRUC’s courses, campuses, and student experience through a range of marketing channels, events, and outreach activities. Working closely with academic and professional services colleagues, the team supports the full student journey—from initial awareness and enquiry through to application, enrolment, and progression—ensuring SRUC’s offer is clearly communicated and accessible to diverse audiences.
About the Opportunity
As Student Recruitment Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving student growth across SRUC's further education, higher education, postgraduate, online and work-based learning portfolio. Working at the heart of the student journey, you will lead initiatives that inspire prospective students to explore, apply and enrol, supporting SRUC's mission to develop the next generation of talent for Scotland's land-based and rural sectors.
Reporting to the Head of Student Recruitment, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for student recruitment, widening access and college articulation activity. You will translate strategic ambitions into successful recruitment campaigns and engagement plans, ensuring SRUC continues to attract students from diverse backgrounds and geographical locations. With responsibility for managing recruitment performance and identifying new opportunities for growth, you will use market insight and data to inform decision-making and deliver measurable results.
This role offers a unique opportunity to build and strengthen relationships with schools, colleges, careers advisers, industry partners and other key stakeholders. Working collaboratively across Admissions, Marketing, Student Services and academic departments, you will develop innovative recruitment and conversion strategies that enhance the applicant experience, maximise enrolments and promote SRUC's outstanding educational offering.
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated leader with experience of student recruitment, stakeholder engagement or education marketing. You will be passionate about widening access to education, confident in managing teams and projects, and skilled at building meaningful partnerships. As a visible ambassador for SRUC, you will represent the institution at events across Scotland and the UK, helping prospective students discover the exciting opportunities available throughout our specialist academic portfolio.
If you are looking for a role where you can make a significant impact on student success, shape recruitment strategy and contribute to the growth of a respected and forward-thinking institution, we would love to hear from you.
