About this role

Many Sheffield owners go away and will not use kennels. A pet sitter is the answer, and it is a different job from the dog walking we also advertise.

We want three self-employed sitters

one for the south-west around Ecclesall and Endcliffe, and two more for the north and the east of the city.

What would you actually do? Stay at the owner's house, or call in once or twice a day, while they are away. You follow their feeding and medication notes, take the dog out, keep it company in the evening and send a short message to say all is well.

Sit in Sheffield with WoofWalk and you work for yourself. We are not your employer, so nobody pays you a wage, and bookings are not guaranteed. The price for each visit and each night is yours to set. Each owner pays in the app, and your share arrives in your bank account. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance are down to you.

We have no reliable Sheffield figure for sitting visits, so we quote none.

Having dogs live with you is home boarding. It needs a licence from the council before you start and it is listed separately in the app. Looking after a dog at the owner's place carries no such rule.

It is free to join. There is no commission for 14 days, then 15% on every booking. After five of your own clients have joined through you the rate is 10% for life, and clients of your own pay 10% from day one.

Please be over 18. Apply through Find a Job, giving the Sheffield areas within reach and whether overnight bookings suit you.
