About this role

Who looks after the dog when a Bradford family goes on holiday? Often nobody they feel happy about, and that is the gap this advert is for. We want three self-employed pet sitters, one for the north around Shipley and Saltaire, one for the city and one for the south.

You would care for a dog at the owner's home: visits through the day, nights in the house, or a week of cover. You stick to the routine the owner leaves, take the dog out, keep it company and send a daily update.

We have no Bradford sitting figure from our research, so we quote none. You choose your own price per visit and per night, and the owner pays through the app, which pays the money out to your bank.

Be clear about what this is. Working for yourself means no wage, no staff contract and no guaranteed bookings; WoofWalk is the booking app and nothing more. Tax, National Insurance and insurance arrangements are your affair.

Then the licence question. A dog staying with you overnight at your own address counts as home boarding, so you would need a licence from the council and the app lists it as a different service. Staying at the owner's house needs no such thing.

The fee structure is simple. Joining is free, the first 14 days are commission-free, and then WoofWalk takes 15% of each booking. Once five of your own clients have joined through you, the rate is 10% for life. Clients you recruit yourself are on 10% from day one.

Over 18, please. Apply on Find a Job, telling us whether you are in the north, the city or the south of Bradford and whether overnights suit you.
