About this role

WoofWalk's registered office is in Herefordshire, so we would like to see Hereford well served. We need three self-employed pet sitters, one for the city and two who can cover the villages and market towns around it. Sitting is a different job from walking, and we are advertising it on its own.

A sitter looks after a dog at the owner's home while the owner is away. Expect daily visits, overnight stays and week-long holiday cover. You follow the routine left for you, feed the dog, give medication where needed, let it out, walk it and keep it company, then message the owner every day.

You would be self-employed. Our part is the booking app: owners find you, book you and pay through it, and the payment is paid out to your bank. That makes us a platform, not an employer, so no wage is paid and we do not guarantee work. The price per visit and per night is yours alone. Tax, National Insurance and insurance are yours to keep up. We have no Hereford sitting figure, so we quote none.

Dogs coming to stay at your own place is home boarding. You would need a licence from the council before offering it, and the app lists it as a separate service. For sitting at the owner's home, no licence.

Fees

joining is free, with 14 days of no commission. Beyond that it is 15% of each booking. Bring five of your own clients and it drops to 10% for life. Clients you bring yourself pay 10% from the first day.

Over 18. On Find a Job, say which parts of Hereford and the county you can reach and whether overnights are possible.
