SMSA

We are looking for a committed School Meals Supervisory Assistant (SMSA) to join our friendly and supportive team as soon as possible.

You will be responsible for

• Supervising and caring for the children during lunchtimes• Interacting with children & ensuring that they are engaged in active, purposeful, positive and co-operative play• Ensuring children are behaving appropriately and in line with the school’s behaviour policy at all times• Being aware of and responding to Health & Safety issues promptly• Being a strong, positive role model for the children and other staff• Following the school’s policy and procedures on child protection and attending any relevant training• Working with colleagues to set up and clear the dining hall• Maintaining confidentiality at all times.*Previous experience is not necessary but you must be willing and able to attend relevant training*In return we can offer you:• The opportunity to be part of a welcoming and supportive team• Lots of happy, polite and well-behaved children• A lovely working environment• On-going training, relevant to the role.Hours of work will be 12.15-13.30, Monday to Friday (6.25 hours per week).
