About this role
Hull is a port city with plenty of owners who work away or go off on holiday. We are looking for three self-employed pet sitters: one for the west and the Avenues, one for the east around East Park and one for the Hessle and Cottingham edge. If you are after dog walking, you want our other advert. This one is about sitting.
The job is to look after a dog in the owner's own house. That can mean visits morning and evening, a few nights, or a week's cover. You follow the routine they leave, feed the dog, let it out, give it a walk and company, and send a daily update.
Please read the next part carefully. WoofWalk is a booking app. It is not an employer, it pays no wage, and work is not guaranteed. You set what you charge per visit and per night. Owners pay through the app, and the payout lands in your bank. Tax, National Insurance and insurance come out of your own pocket. There is no Hull sitting figure in our research.
Licences. Boarding dogs at your own address is home boarding, which a council licence must cover before you start; the app lists it as its own service. You do not need one to sit at the owner's house.
The commission works like this
nothing to join, nothing for 14 days, then 15% of each booking. Five of your own clients joining through you means 10% for life. Clients you bring in yourself pay the 10% rate from the start.
Over 18. Apply on Find a Job with the parts of Hull you can reach and whether you can sleep over.
