About this role
A walker in Lichfield has already set up on WoofWalk, and Birmingham down the road has sent us a great many applicants, so we know people are looking. What Lichfield owners cannot yet find through us is a sitter. We want three self-employed pet sitters who can look after a dog at the owner's home while the owner is away.
Visits, overnight stays and holiday cover are all in scope, for the city and for Burntwood. You follow the routine the owner leaves, feed the dog, give any medication, take it out, keep it company and send a daily update. Owners of older dogs in particular want a sitter who stays calm and keeps to the routine.
About the deal. You are your own boss, and Woof
Walk is not an employer
no wage, no guaranteed work. Owners book through the app and pay there, the money is paid out to your bank, and you choose the price per visit and per night. Your tax, National Insurance and insurance are yours to run. We have no Lichfield sitting price to give you.
Home boarding means dogs staying at your own place. It is a separate service in the app, and you need a licence from the council before you offer it. Sitting at the owner's home is not covered by that rule.
Free to join, and no commission for 14 days. Then WoofWalk keeps 15% of each booking. If five of your own clients join through you the rate is 10% for life; clients you bring in yourself pay 10% from day one.
Please be over 18. Apply on Find a Job, saying which parts of Lichfield and Burntwood you can reach and whether you can stay overnight.
