About this role

Uphill, downhill,

Birchwood or North Hykeham

wherever in Lincoln you live, an owner nearby needs somebody to look after a dog at home when they go away. We are looking for three self-employed pet sitters. It is the other job, not the walking one. The dog stays in its own house and you come to it.

How it goes

you arrive, feed the dog, let it out, take it for a walk if the owner wants one, give any tablets and stay a while. Some bookings are overnight, with you sleeping at the owner's address. After each visit or night you send an update, which owners tell us they value most.

Before you apply, the honest bit. WoofWalk is a booking app and is not your employer. It pays no wage, and there is no guaranteed work. Charges for each visit and each night are yours to choose. Owners pay through the app and the money goes to your bank account. Tax, National Insurance and insurance are your responsibility. Our research has no Lincoln sitting prices, so we give none.

On licences, take dogs into your own home and it counts as home boarding, so the council has to licence you first. The app keeps it as a separate service. Nothing of the sort applies at the owner's house.

Cost to join

nothing. Cost in your first 14 days: nothing. After that, 15% of every booking. When five of your own clients have joined through you, you drop to 10% for life, and clients you bring yourself pay 10% from the start.

You must be over 18. On Find a Job, tell us whether you suit uphill, downhill or the villages, and whether overnights are fine.
