About this role
Milton Keynes is laid out on a grid, and an owner who wants a sitter needs one who can reach their square without a long drive. So we are recruiting three self-employed pet sitters for the centre, Bletchley, Wolverton and Stony Stratford, Newport Pagnell and the east. Walking is another advert. Here the job is minding a dog at the owner's home.
A booking is usually a short visit at midday, a few nights while the owner travels, or a full week over school holidays. You stick to the routine you are given, deal with food, water and medication, take the dog out, keep it company and send a daily update.
We do not employ you or pay wages, and bookings are not guaranteed, because WoofWalk is only the booking app for owners. You set your own price per visit and per night, and you decide which requests to take. Owners pay via the app, and you receive the payout in your bank. Tax, National Insurance and insurance are yours to deal with. There are no Milton Keynes sitting prices in our research, so we do not suggest any.
If you are thinking of hosting dogs at home instead, that is home boarding. A council licence comes first, and the app has a separate listing for it. At the owner's home no licence comes into it.
Joining is free. After 14 days without commission, 15% of each booking. Five of your own clients joining through you brings the rate to 10% for life, and clients you bring yourself pay 10% from day one.
Over 18 only. Tell us on Find a Job which squares you can reach, and whether you can stay overnight.
