About this role
We are advertising for three self-employed pet sitters in Peterborough, and this is not our dog-walking role. A sitter looks after a dog at the owner's home while the owner is away: that could be morning and evening visits, a few nights, or a week of holiday cover.
The routine belongs to the owner, and you follow it. Meals at the right time, any medication, toilet breaks, a walk and some company. Then a message to the owner each day to say how it went. We would like one sitter for the city and Bretton, one for Hampton and Orton and one for the villages.
Your own rates, your own business. Charge what you think is right per visit and per night; owners pay in the app and WoofWalk pays the money out to your bank. We pay no wage, and since we are a booking app and not an employer, bookings are not guaranteed. You manage tax, National Insurance and insurance yourself. We have no Peterborough sitting prices to share.
A quick word on boarding. If dogs would be staying at your address, that is home boarding, a separate service in the app that needs a licence from the council beforehand. Visits and house sitting at the owner's home do not.
What Woof
Walk takes
nothing for the first 14 days, then 15% of each booking. Your rate falls to 10% for life once five of your own clients have joined through you, and clients you bring yourself pay 10% from their first booking. Joining costs nothing.
Must be over 18. Please apply on Find a Job, saying which of the three areas suits you and whether overnights are possible.
