About this role
Ripon is small and surrounded by villages, and many of its owners take their holidays at the same times of year. Between them they need a few reliable sitters. We are asking for three self-employed pet sitters, ideally including one in Boroughbridge. We are not asking for walkers: that is our other advert.
Your work would be at the owner's home. Visits during the day, nights in the house, or a longer stay. Stick to the routine, give meals and any medication, let the dog out, walk it, keep it company, and message the owner every day. A car is close to essential out here.
About pay. You set your own price per visit and per night; owners book and pay through the app, and the payout reaches your bank. WoofWalk is a booking app rather than an employer, so no wage is paid and bookings are not guaranteed. You are in charge of your tax, National Insurance and insurance. We have no Ripon sitting prices, so none are quoted.
Do not confuse sitting with home boarding. Having dogs stay at your own house is home boarding, which needs a licence from the council first and is listed separately in the app. At the owner's house you need no such licence.
The fee structure
free to join, no commission for 14 days and then 15% of each booking. With five of your own clients joined through you, 10% for life. Anyone you recruit yourself pays 10% from day one.
Over 18. On Find a Job, say whether you can reach Boroughbridge and the villages, and whether overnights suit.
